Event Description

CLIMOA is an organization devoted to the development and coordination of doctors and others working in the health and life insurance industry.

 

The CLIMOA Annual Scientific Meeting consists of two full days and one half-day of CME accredited medical education, with a focus on speakers, topics and approaches relevant to the specialized world of insurance medicine. It also offers a welcome reception and other great opportunities to network with like-minded individuals in a speciality whose few members are scattered widely in different cities and countries. Throughout the event, opportunities abound to fine-tune one's skills and knowledge of insurance medicine and its specific requirements.

A limited number of hotel rooms have been secured for our group at a special rate of $229 CAD for a Standard Room.

 

Our group rate will only be available until Friday, April 13, 2018, or until our group block is sold out, whichever comes first. After that point, any new reservation will be subject to availability at the daily rate applicable at the time of reservation.

 

The rate is per room, per night, single or double occupancy. The rate is quoted in Canadian dollars and is subject to a 3.5% Lodging Tax. This amount is subject to a 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) and a 9.975% Provincial Sales Tax (QST). Taxes and fees may change without notice.

 

Cancellation or modification of a reservation must be made by 3:00 p.m. local time on the day prior to arrival; otherwise the cost of one night will be charged.

 

Individuals are responsible for their own room, tax and incidental charges, and all charges must be paid upon checkout.

 

Check-in begins at 16:00; checkout time is 11:00.

CLIMOA does not endorse or recommend booking hotel reservations through any source other than the hotel itself, and no other housing company, travel agent or third party agency is authorized to place hotel reservations on behalf of CLIMOA.

Additional Information

TRAVEL

 

Travel time from the Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to the Hyatt Regency Montreal hotel is approximately 25 minutes, but can take longer during rush hour periods. There is a flat rate of $40 for a taxi to downtown hotels, tip not included.

 

If rail travel is preferred, VIA Rail and AMTRAK bring visitors into the heart of the city each day. The Hyatt Regency Montreal hotel is a short taxi ride from the train station.

 

If you are driving, the island of Montréal is easily accessed by many roads and expressways, including the Trans-Canada Highway. Depending on your point of origin, you may take one of the major bridges – Champlain, Jacques-Cartier or Victoria – or the Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine bridge tunnel to head downtown. The Hyatt Regency Montreal hotel is connected to the largest underground parking garage in the city. Overnight valet parking is $32 daily, which includes in and out privileges.

Refund Policy

Refunds of registration fees, less a $100 CAD administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received by Friday, April 6, 2018No refunds will be issued after this date. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute someone in your place. All cancellation and substitution requests must be received in writing. Refunds will be processed after the meeting.
